The requirements that must be adhered to in relation to Display Screen Equipment (DSE) are outlined under The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 5 of Part 2, requires all employers undertake a VDU workstation assessment for individuals using Display Screen Equipment.
VDU Risk Assessments assess the workstations and work environment for potential hazards and identify controls to reduce the level of risks. Employers must pay particular attention to eyesight, physical difficulties and mental stress of their employees and put in the precautions control of any risks identified.
What we can offer…
AMPM Safety & Environmental Ltd provides a VDU assessment service to all employers which is in line with current legislation. This process involves visiting the premises to carry out the VDU risk assessment.
Each workstation is individually assessed to consider the hazards in the work location. A full report is then written for the employer recommending the necessary changes that need to be made to bring the employer in line with current legislation and VDU/DSE regulations
